Unable to install EA Download Manager

Hey Everyone,

I'm unable to install the EA download manager onto my computer. I'm currently running Windows XP with my firewall currently down. I can't seem to figure out how to get it to install.

Once I click the installer, it acts like it is about to install and loads, then it just completely shuts down. Any ideas? I even changed IE to my default web browser.

Have you downloaded it again, the installer may be corrupt.

And you're sure that you didn't close the download window before it was complete?

I've downloaded/installed/updated it yesterday and it's working fine.

Have you tried the manual uninstall to make sure everything is gone?

Actually, I've never installed this thing before. I'm only doing it since I just recently purchased the Creature Editor for Spore. I've tried re-downloading the program and it just won't finish installing. I'm not sure what else to do.

So I looked at that post you linked me and the problem is I've never downloaded this application before. So would it still work? But yea, how he explains it is exactly what's happening to me.
