While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
There was software installed on windows machines which blocked certain sites, port ranges and applications. Quite why they didn't do it at the actual gateway level is beyond me. So you could just load up a liveCD and have access. I used KateOS because it came on a free software DVD in a copy of PC Pro. As i slept at school, i was unable to get online to download any other liveCD.

Yep, when you have a large amount of things to do on a windows network you don't use Windows to do the job you use Linux :thumbsup: as it can run all the tools you need.
we used portable firefox on usb sticks to bypass the schools naff proxxy filters, we also tried to get CSS onto the school computers but the on-board graphics couldn't run it.
