    Buying new monitor

I want to know, What is truly better. My friends say get a 20" regular monitor for gamming. Wide Screens are everywhere now and a lot cheaper. I want to know what the people who are experienced think. Can someone please post up a screenshot of what a game looks like on a widescreen resolution for me (with a widescreen monitor) thanks.

Do they even do regular anymore? Widescreen is the way to go, get a nice 22"'er. :)

I'd go for a wide-screen, more and more games are being made with wide-screen in mind and you generally get a bigger screen.

                wide screen... I've got three 24" Dell Ultra's and a 20" Viewsonic... and three 19"Dell Ultra's

I've sold off all my regular screens cause they are like dust in the wind.

when I finally buy a new monitor, I won't even consider anything except widescreen. :)

Definitely WS, I used to have a normal one but WS just makes the picture just look so much better.

22" WS will do ya good. You can usually get one really cheap - got my 22" for 170 £ / $335

If you have the cash the resolution boost of the 24" is worth it. 1920 is beautiful. Just hope you have the card to run games at that res. Otherwise if you running at lower resolution than the native it just stretches it and loses a lot of image quality.
