Swap the 2 x hard disks for a single Samsung Spinpoint F1 750gb. Faster than raptors in custom PC reviews, and about the same price as your current disks.

Switch Coolermaster 620W for a Corsair HX620W.

The 700W version of the coolermaster got a really good review in PC Pro recently, and the one I'm getting is £16 cheaper than the corsair.

You know... you'd probably be better off getting the top of the line Core 2 Duo, if you plan on using this primarily for gaming.

From what I've heard, quad core won't help your gaming experience, unless you really have the money and don't mind spending it.

A Q9450 is an awesome, awesome all round CPU. If you can afford it, stick with it :)

My favourite game is FSX, which is multithreaded... and quad core is good for bragging rights.

One dilemma I have is that I can get the 1150MHz OCZ Flex XLC for slightly less that the 1066MHz Reaper, but the width of the cooling prevent future upgrades. Which do you think is the better bet?

EDIT: Scrap that... I was getting muddled up.

The 4GB Flex II costs £10 more. Would that be worth it still? I'm guessing not.

Nah. Above PC-6400, you don't notice a real speed difference. The only reason you buy stuff that fast is so that you can reach crazy FSB's or bragging rights.

samsung sucks. They make great screens but there hd's fail. Personal experience.

Ok it was just the one but still - who needs 750gb neways? I prolly only use 100gb total myself.. Why don't you just get a nice cheap seagate beracuda 320gb for now and then buy second hd when you need it or is raid important to you?

And those speakers seem over priced to me. You should look @ the z5300 I think :)
