Need Help (mom's PC)

I recently reformatted my mom's PC because of all the **** that was on it. But now, I get this every time I start XP:



It stays like that for like 2 mins. Any ideas? because my PC doesn't do that.

2 gigs
7900 GS

Task manager comes up on start up??

Go to Start, Run, type msconfig and select the startup tab... look for something that says "Task Manager" and uncheck it.

All drivers installed?

no, no lol..I just checked it when I was looking at something real quick and it was all blank. Mine usually has all the processes all loaded up already. These are blank on my mom's PC.

So what exactly is the problem. Is the computer unresponsive for two minutes or does the task manager just not display the username. Are you logged in as administrator or does she have her own account?

Nope. :p still does it.

And Corkum, The computer works fine. It's just that the processes will not show up in the TM for a couple minutes.

a slower computer then? I mean I don't know what else to say cause your screen shot doesn't show me nothing.. Your saying a fresh install yet I see a anti virus on it. Could be that or something else causing it cause unless your just sitting on a fresh install of the OS and nothing else then its hard to narrow down the issue.

Anti-Viruses like tend to slow down what show up in the taskmanager.

My NOD32 does that for a couple of minutes.
