You would only change the CD,and i have never seen a barcode of any sort on the actual CD itself.

yeah video stores here put a clear film over the picture side of the cd with a barcode under it so any attempts to remove the plastic film will result in the picture coming off too..

Well... Microsoft screwed him over by giving him a crappy console so why not return the favor? Anyway, I thought they send the console back to Microsoft or something when ever one is returned? At least that's what I heard.

That is 100% true. I work at a major retail electronics store and when someone returns something saying that it wasn't working we simply stick a tag on it and send it back to the manufacturer. It doesn't harm our store at all.

hmm well when u buy a xbox from a store here they may take it back but not for cash refund.. they give u a store credit.. and i really dont want $500 as credit illl just get this one fixed.. as for the game.. well i guess i have just been screwed over lol not much i can do about it. I messed up my Vice City, so i rented the game from Blockbuster, switched the discs and voila!

yeah even if i could i don't think i would do that i would feel pretty bad for screwing someone else over.. heh if the disc cleaning doesn't work ill just buy it again i guess, most CD scratches arn't actually scratches more buff marks from where its rubbed the laser, so i think having it cleaned should make it playable at least:)

well i have to go get it cleaned >.< ill probably do it next weekend, no use rushing i have to send my xbox off on thursday and that will take another two weeks..
