CPU Coolers

As I'm sure nobody has noticed I have been around for a bit recently that's because the pump in my inbuilts Tt water cooling system has given up the ghost and I'm too tight (in the wallet) and lazy to RMA the whole four x'ing case back the Tt USA.

So I'm looking for a air HSF for a 775 Q6600 I haven't kept up with the kit in this area so I'm all airs. Price isn't a problem they are not that expensive after all.

Lol, seriously, don't. A Tuniq Tower will cool just as well as one of those TEC coolers. They are a waste of money hence why no one uses them. If you want good temps, use phase change, water cooling or air. Don't do TEC!

Lol, seriously, don't. A Tuniq Tower will cool just as well as one of those TEC coolers. They are a waste of money hence why no one uses them. If you want good temps, use phase change, water cooling or air. Don't do TEC!

I use an Akasa AK-965 on my Q6600 it keeps it around 40C at 3.0ghz compared to 50-55C on the stock cooler at 2.4ghz

and it usually around £15 compared to a tuniq which is around £25-30

dont mean to hijack the thred but does anyone know of a good 8800gt cooler? because ive turned the fan up to 60% and its still getting too hot like 75-80C

Ive had problems with arctic cooling before so i want to avoid them

On idle or when I'm not doing too much my PC stays between 18-25 C with my Tuniq Tower.

I have a zalman v700-CU that I used to use on my 7600GT and transferred to my 8800GT and it keeps my temps at 45-50C idle and no more than 60C while playing games.

I use an AC7 pro, but me thinks you need a better cooler than mines i would go with the Tuniq on this one

I think im gonna grab a tuniq too..trying more overclocking and i dont like my cpu going up to 63c..

Is getting a Tuniq going to take a lot of space in my Antec900 or not cause right now all this tuniq talk is making it sound very interesting, as i am after some OCing too!
