I bought a 30m cable from ebay for cheap...
I misjudged the distance have have 15m of cable in a loop under my feet! :awes

I pulled up the carpet and ran the cables around the house, mum didn't even realise

My mum doesn't know that i networked 2 different rooms while she was out. I ran network cables under the carpet from the router to two different bedrooms.

That will work, i will say its just as bad as talking on a cell phone for hrs. (damage to ears).

Thats what i will try to find in my country i.e. a good one. If i can't get a really good one i wiil put the Network PCi card from my rig and install a wireless card in my old rig (which is now being used by my sister, casual user).

Should do, WiFi should work with any other WiFi device, i.e that Netgear card should work with a Dlink wireless router if there the same i.e both 802.11a, I have a Intel wireless chip set in my lappy and it works fine with the Netgear. :)

What router/wireless hub?

I have a wireless manufactured by 3Com, and both my laptop (Hypersonic/Sager) and my moms laptop (Dell) connects perfectly with it. Except the signal in my room is like 'very low'.
