Based on their support page, it looks like everything is set up automatically using DHCP: http://www.comcast.com/customers/faq...shx?ID=2268#xp

But the "Be screwed" option is very real when messing with networks.
Cant you mail comcast support and ask for the details?

Sometimes the default password is password or epicrouter.

Finally, after an hour and a half. Success. I had to mess around with the reset button, as the method in the manual didn't work. I use a WEP 128bit. I know, it's not WPA2, but it was easy and my neighbors aren't nearly smart enough to hack it.

Good, however I did take a look at the wrt54g manual, and
                  The Administration Tab - Log
The Router can keep logs of all traffic for your Internet connection. To disable the Log function, keep the default
setting, Disable. To monitor traffic between the network and the Internet, select Enable. When you wish to view
the logs, click Incoming Log or Outgoing Log, depending on which you wish to view.
Change these settings as described here and click the Save Settings button to apply your changes or Cancel
                  Changes to cancel your changes.
So maybe you want to keep it open for a few days more, now that you are in control?

Re: Neighboor using internet, interfeering with my games.

                      Try these combinations:
                      comcast:comcast
                      comcast:12345
                      comcast:admin
                      comcast:adminadmin
                      comcast:comcast

They make little changes to their versions of the linksys routers, unless it's one you bought from the store.

I'd suggest resetting it right now, Comcast will get you the information you need from over the phone.

Also he may be logging your traffic , if he is doing anything illegal you and your family will be blamed. I suggest getting things reset as soon as possible, you can call Comcast to get the information, all they need is your address, name, etc. they can tell you the rest.

I still have reason to believe that your neighbour would appreciate high quality bovine pornography.

You can comment on HQ bovine pornography?

                                Simple answer: Contact the police.

                                Communications Act 2003, section 125

                                Dishonestly obtaining electronic communications services

                                (1) A person who-

                                (a) dishonestly obtains an electronic communications service, and
                                (b) does so with intent to avoid payment of a charge applicable to the provision of that service,

                                is guilty of an offence.
