    humm sli

    hey guys,

I've got my new system all polished just how i want it ...finally...

I'm sure u can guess since i have not visited in some time, since i got all my parts..

I'm thankful for everything..especially the help i got from all of you to build it...
i think i have my last tech related question here...

btw i get GREAT FRAMES IN EVERYGAME ALREADY!!!

i bought the evga 9600gt ko 512 ddr3 sli at
    core:700mhz
    shader clock 1773
    memory clock 950

now I'm thinking to buy another card, because i know in the future of games sli will be a huge difference,

i looked at ut3,the 9600gt 512 the card i have gets god frames with it already but with sli it was nearly double that ...so in short now i wana do sli..

but as i got into looking at the 9600gt i noticed there is a better card...but not this same card i have now..
i mean its the same card but its got more ram ..its the evga 9600 gt with 1 gig of ram..i see all the freq are different..

can someone educated in how this works explain to me if it will work or wont or why anything please thanks..

We’re sorry, but this page does not existing. Please visit our home page for more information.

in my thinking here i was under the impression u can sli anythign as long as its the same card...but if it has diffrent specs then it wont work..so someone help plz thanks...

"In the future SLI will make a big difference in games".....

I wouldn't be so sure. Save that money for a completely new card (+ the amount from selling your 9600gt). You'll get something extra nice :)

I don't know anything. All i forsee is SLI still being a gimmick in a few years. Spend a little extra on a more powerful single card, and reap the benefits.

Crossfire isn't the way to go really. Not that it's a bad technology, it's just not that well implemented in current software.

Had SLi with 2 7900GTX 2 years back, to be honest im a lot happier with my ONE 8800GTX. SLI is good but not necessary IMO. You spent so much on the second card and theres not that much difference in most games. They been trying to push SLi/Crossfire for some time now but it never really took off.

idk really but i honestly had crossfire to be better than SLi in mind.

Yah CF better..Like if you have a HD3870 like moi, and youre really starpped for cash and you really crave that extra performance you can get a cheaper HD3850 whereas SLI has to be same card :P

i seen some reviews and watched a video of a guy playing ut3 ...he had nearly double the frames he had already with sli because the game was built to support sli fully..not like crysis and stuff..same system only got 42 fps playing crysis...leme find the video because visuals always seem to show true..

You answerd you own question there, if your getting good FPS in games now, stick with one then when and if you need it, get a second or a new card, the XTXTX10920292GTXX at the time.
