    Which Linux Distro to choose?

I want to load Linux onto my laptop as Vista is just too slow. All i want to do is Internet browsing, basic office processing and occasionally listening to music.

    The specs are:
    1.8ghz Core 2 Duo
    2gb RAM
    Intel GMA Graphics

Which distro should i choose? Redhat, Ubuntu, Fedora or any other???

Yeah, looks like i'll go Ubuntu. Only reason i thought Redhat was that all our Linux boxes at Uni run it.

Redhat hasn't been in use (client side) for something like a decade now.

Go with ubuntu. You can always go with Fedora later. I have a several hundred Redhat servers under my wing at work. And there is a reason everyone is running to Ubuntu.

Don't run Fedora it's a permanent experimental operating system from RedHat.
If you want the RedHat Feel go for CentOS or if you want another full fledged no hold bars linux distribution go for Debian.

Ubuntu Desktop should get you up and going fast and do what you need then you can move up to the other more advanced Linux Distributions listed above.
