lol I completely misread the article and your post... I thought it said they're pushing back their dates.... please forgive me, it's 2:43am

anyway, now that I know what's going on... has nvidia ever pushed a card release date up before? also, I can't really see the card itself causing bugs. I think as long as the driver support is strong they shouldn't have any problems.

also, I just hope the rumored specs are true.

I got this from another website:
"The GT200 core sports 240 shaders, 32 ROPs and 120 TMUs. NVIDIA will have two version ready for launch in July; GeForce 9900GTX and 9900GTS, 9800GTS has in turn been removed from the roadmap. GeForce 9900 cards will be based on the GT200 core, and the high-end version is suggested to have 512-bit bus and up to 2200MHz GDDR3 memory. NVIDIA will remove two memory chips with GeForce 9900GTS, which results in a 448-bit bus and 896MB memory buffer."

TBH, I doubt nVidia would be dumb enough to release a flawed card after the Geforce FX fiasco- they've probably had the card's designed finished for a while, and have simply been waiting to for ATI to release a new product, since it doesn't make any sense to make your own current product obsolete.

Hmm well no i wasn't expecting nvidia ti make a dumb move and release a flawed card, but i just thought rushing a product may seem bad, and i am really looking forward to ATi as i really want to know what they are up to idk they (ATi) sound promising as i have much admired their HD3*** which sells for cheap at UK sites! Time will tell i guess.

The first 2 models from the GeForce 9900 series will be 9900 GTX and 9900 GTS instead of 9900 GT we reported earlier. It seems Nvidia has decided to launch them as early as July to counter RV770 and steal the performance crown away. Nvidia has earlier confirmed GT200 existence and revealed that the GPU has about 1B transistors. Our sources are suggesting a 512-bit memory interface with GDDR3 memories for GeForce 9900 GTX using P651 PCB and a 448-bit memory interface for the GeForce 9900 GTS.

Could be photoshopped looks like 2 7900GTX stuck together like a train, with the second PCI-E pin cut out.

yeah that card is fake... the length will be exactly the same as the 9800GTX card which appears to be around a inch longer than the 8800GTX.

I've grabbed a 9800gtx OCX card for now to fool with which the release date of this 9900 will be in July which puts me within 30days of step up! :)
