upgraiding my rig

before I start I wnat to know whats the differense betwen this:
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Swe OEM 32-bit
and this:
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Svensk DVD

long ago I bought a intel core 2 duo e6750, but it didn't work with my motherboard, so now I am finnally planning to upgrade the whole computer with this:
Gigabyte GeForce 8800GTS 512MB PCI-E
Asus P5K-VM
ACE 620 W med 12cm Fan

maybe it's not über awesome, but is this a good idae

and when I install everything do I have to reinstall my os, and will I have to buy a new os or use the separate recovery hard drive that comes with my computer?

All i know about the OS is that one is normal and one is a 32Bit, i think one utilizes more RAM than the other idk and don't take my word for it as i said i am no guru on OS's.

As for the motherboard and the graphics card they are both really good, the Asus P5K series is a popular board as i have seen many gamers using it, i would have bought it myself although i had a slightly shorter budget. The GFX 88GTS is awesome, if you are however on a short budget the 88GT can be a good replacement.

As for the PSU i am not sure of that brand is it a major brand such as Cooler master or Corsair, because i know if you buy a cheap PSU you can kill your whole comp. so just make sure that, that PSU is a good brand if not invest in something else i.e. Corsair, Antec, OCZ etc.

As far as I know the OEM version of windows is the same as the retail copy, but it doesn't give you the option to upgrade as it is designed for new builds only.
There might also be no option to repair windows using the disk, and you might run into activation problems if you try and use it on more than one computer.
But it's a lot cheaper, so I always buy OEM.

I don't know if you can re-install your old OS on your new build, if it is Manufacturers OEM it will probably cause problems, if it is full OEM (it will have OEM in the product key if it is) you might be prompted to phone microsoft to get an activation key, in which case you will need to have a good reason why your hardware has drastically changed.

Some versions of 8800gts are slower than 8800gt but cost more, so do a little research before choosing. And yeah that PSU looks a bit cheap.

Thats false... the oem version is for system builders but I've changed out motherboards 3 different times on my copy plus I have it running on 2 other computers and I've only had to call MS twice to input the number code it gives you which is no big deal and only takes a few mins.

You pretty much don't get a pretty box or manual with the OEM vs the retail.

Thats better although the GTX requires a bit more power so i would figure a 620W or above PSU maybe.

Yea, that is meant to be the way, but quite often you can get around it by just ringing Microsoft up :P

and before I install every thing do I have to do a fabric reset on my hard disc?

just get a oem copy and don't worry about it... its rare you have to call MS to reset the key and even then its nothing to do.
