Re: NOT Happy....
no
i have AVG and i did a scan and nothing came up.. i then restarted my pc and google image now works.. weird...
i called the computer shop where i bought my mouse and he says "why is everything u are getting broken?" LOL THATS WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW TWIT!!! this will be the last thing i buy from this dodgy dealer! i would also advise ANY aussie people to stay the hell away from www.itestate.com.au they are sneeky little merchant vultures!..
i figured out the laser iside has come loose somehow.. (judging by the broken set of speakers i got i can only imagine the mouse was on the same truck
)..
P.S. heed my warning fellow aussies! DON'T GO NEAR ITESTATE!!!.. my parents where talking ro another computer shop owner and he was saying itestate have actually had police come around due to smuggled parts.. wether its true or just rumour i don't know.. but with all the parts i have had to send back i wouldn't soo quickly write it off as rumour.. either that or im just unlucky lol...Comment

Re: NOT Happy....
Well I haven't looked to much at this thread but I have to say just cause your using AVG doesn't mean you don't have a virus or a issue related. AVG's detection rate is bad compared to a few years ago.Comment

Re: NOT Happy....
Well Trend Micro isn't exactly that great either... but best Free would be Avast
www.Avast.com just use the Home version and register it..lasts for 16months then re-register it. In your case I would download it, update it... select to schedule a bootscan to remove whatever it finds and then restart and let it scan. I don't use a anti-virus unless I have a problem but in your case it might be a good idea to keep it on

Re: NOT Happy....
And its not good to have several virus scanning programs on your computer. I know for a fact AVG is a biotch to remove entirely.
For instance, having Norton and AVG is just overkill. Get one good virus scanning program and then something like Adware SE, Threatfire, Spybot S&D.
With a good anti-virus program and a good spy-ware/ad-ware program (and a firewall) you should be good to go. Unless you like to visit "happy" sites frequently.Comment
