    Re: NOT Happy....

I think your biggest issue here is the fact the price tag has exceeded $4,300.

You could build a really nice computer for 1/4th of that amount and use the rest for say.....savings?

As for the computer issues, the speaker and subwoofer damage was caused by poor handling of the box it came in. Obviously they like to throw merchandise into trucks rather than set them in.

For your tv tuner card. Try it again, when the error comes up, write it down and google the error message. Then go from there. If that doesn't work, contact the maker or visit their forums to see if this issue is a recurrence with other people.

Finally, enjoy. I had great satisfaction once I completed my first build, and within 2 months wanted to build another. But like the US economy, that will take time.

This is in Australian dollars as well ... not US dollars. But even in saying that, it is a bit over the top, but he's practically got the top of everything.

Have you tried changing the actual cable itself to the GPU?

UPDATE: ok i took all the parts back today and found out the PSU was faulty not the GPU.. they replaced my 1000WATT ANTEC with some cheapo brand 800watt.. however it seems to be working so im happy :)

they exchanged the speakers for a snew set aand along with my fatal1ty gaming sound card they sound incredible ^_^

the only thing im having trouble with now is the TV card.. and i can't seem to find a Leadtek technical support phone number for australia

P.S. Still plays crysis like crap >.< im starting to believe this game will never be playable. however ihave heard that the drivers need some work.

              Whoa!

Don't ever, ever let them put a cheapo brand PSU with such expensive hardware, that is just asking for trouble. If it blows, it could easily surge and send the rest of your PC with it.

Anyone who knows anything about PC's on this forum, and others, will tell you that the #1 rule is buy a good quality power supply.

                lol yeah i know

Its not ultra cheapo it was still $220..its an ACBEL.. just i have never heard of this one...

But its not bad quality i checked it out and it seems pretty good.. the thing that annoyes me most is it isn't modular.

Either way im going to call them tomorrow and ask them why they replaced a $280 1000watt PSU with a $220 800watt PSU without soo much as a store credit for the difference... im not going to let them rip me off..

I would ask for a replacement one that is branded. Some not so well known companies are OK, but the vast majority are bad. Don't take the risk, get a well known branded PSU.

Your first problem by the sounds of it is that your buying it from a high-street retailer as a rule of thumb they are always more expensive than internet retailers.

Second you should ask/demand that you get the same branded PSU you originally ordered from them not some knock-off replacement. As alex said of all the places to skimp on the price of hardware the PSU, the component that regulates the voltages down your rails is not the place at all.

Good luck getting this resolved looks like you've had bad luck so far.

Could be the PSU sending surges?

Not necessarily no. It was just a possiblity.

Could just be a bad mouse.
