    NOT Happy....

    Hey,

Ok i FINALLY got all my upgrades the other day.. as can be seen here.. Now for the problems..

    1) the center speaker is physically broken at the feet.. i noticed when i stood it on my desk it sat crooked, on closer inspection i noticed there was a crack just above the feet...also the subs protection grill has a sharp dent in it as if it has been struck with somthing..

    2) The GPU's conection is very poor.. if i so much as nudge or brush the 8pin conector the screen go's black and i have to restart my pc.. i know its the 8pin and not the 6 as there is a light for each one.. and soon as i so much as touch the 8pin cord the light flickers red..

    3) the case didn't come with the clear fan housings for the doors as can be seen here.. they are an "extra" so really that was my stupidity for not reading the fine print

    4) the TV card doesn't seem to work.. whenever i go to install the driver it comes up with some support error (which i have forgotten) but the drivers do support the version of card i have.

Im going to take all the busted parts back to the shop tomorrow in hope they will replace it :).. this has got me soo down lol i was looking forward to this for ages >.< my pc's price tag has now reached $4300+ including monitor and other accessories and im yet to see it work nicely

Is the clip that keeps the plug in broken?

      nope just is over sensitive

RMA for not getting what was advertised.

Nah that was my mistake.. the picture on their site doesn't actually show the fan housing doors.. i just assumed they were apart of the case

      Download latest drivers.

Well i would have done that anyway.. however the stock drivers should still atleast install

You can RMA the card then if the drivers don't support the card, but as for the graphics card, you have to make your own judgement. If it's over sensitive, then the seal is broken. You have to make the call on that.

        Bad luck anyway.

Thanks :) me too.. i always like things to be 100% perfect.. and when their not i worry like crazy.. i guess im just looking for reassurance that i WILL be able to get replacement parts.. as Alex said if the shop i bought it from doesn't swap it for new products then i can RMA it to the company :) so im kinda feeling a bit better.. just worried lol

Yea, return to retailer, and if that fails, manufacturer.

By seal, i meant the plastic clip that holds the plug onto the card.

ohh.. nope nothing is broken.. the clip is fine.. just somthing is wrong with the conection :hmm: its hard to explain.. but pretty much if the pc is on i just can't touch the GPU.. otherwise the screen go's dead

The case is incredible though! i just built the whole thing onto the removable mobo tray then slid it into the case..

Logitech G9 mouse is AWESOME! better than i thought it would be.

i need to get some Molex converters for my 120mm fans but i plugged one in and it looks nice.. the plastic is crystal clear so the blue led really packs a punch.

from what i saw of the speakers they look nice.. the wired controller is huge and the sub is MASSIVE!

The EVGA 9800GX2 is also massive..

i think once i get everything working it will be a killer pc :)

Well, it could be the metal rods under the plastic on the clip. If you see them in molex connectors, they can become loose. Might want to look at that.

Oh, and remember to get the latest 174.74 drivers for you 9800gx2, not the disc ones.

I'm sure the GPU socket is nothing a little gaffer tape can't fix... this is coming from the guy who took a hacksaw to a SATA cable to make it bend enough for my case.

(OK, I got a new one after a couple of months, but it worked as a stopgap).

Ah, but you shouldn't have to put up with gaffer tape when it's a new £400 card :p

On the contrary, you aren't a true technical nerd until you've done a gaffer tape bodge. :p
