Question to Quad core users

I made a video using the Windows movie maker in Vista and it seems to utilize very well both of my cores. Nearly 100% CPU utilization made me smile. Those run at 3,2GHz, so they are not slackers. :yay:

This got me thinking that does the movie maker utilize 4 cores properly? Could someone just test this out for me? With sceenies of the Task Manager perhaps?

I don't care about the Hertzes you run your quads at, but for me the knowledge of the utilization of the cores is more important.

It could be a deciding factor since from time to time I do some movie projects and the encoding takes still a lot of time. Well it's subjective but I think 30 mins crunching of a 60min movie is a lot for me.

Well unfortunately I can't provide a screenshot (my computer is out of commission).

However, I have done a lot of video editing in the past, so I can attest that my quad-core CPU (both of 'em) have all the cores running at maximum. Unfortunately no matter which system I use for editing, my main system (Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz) or my video/work computer (Phenom 9750) both of them still take a considerable time to render. I find that the extra cores allow me to continue to work instead of putting my system out of commission.

That said I find that both of the CPUs are about 2x-3x as fast as my old E6600 machine. Also depends on what program you are using too.
