I disagree mostly because I've used my G7 for almost 2 years without any probs. The battery pack can still take on a day of shooting.

On what do you base your view?

Added weight and if you put two mice side by side in a LAN, you can notice the added lag with G7. Weight is already a huge problem with gaming mice.

My vote is for the G5, i've been using it for the past 2 years and never had any problems.
I've tried other mice but you have to adjust to use them and I dont like letting my KD slide that much

I vote for a Logitech MX518. use it on a fUnc 1030 pad = very smooth and accurate.

best setup I've used in my 12 years of online gaming. :evil:

MX518 is an optical mouse, Ive read that compared to the newest layzur mice, its a little behind. Would like some factual info on that, but it does make sense. Hence you dont see me preaching about my MX518, even though I love it and find it to be one of the best computer related investments Ive made.

Nah, the drivers aren't supposed to be very good.

If that's reply to my post. All i can say, who told you that? And was the guy/girl speaking from experience or with "i have heard" principal?

For me they have worked like they suppose to. And with the program came with the drivers, it's really simple to set up actions for the side buttons. Just open the program, choose button hit record. Press your favorite "bunnyhop/dolphin dive/nade spam" buttons, click use, and you are good to go...

It's the "I have read in most reviews" principal. The drivers may suffice, but I don't think they come close to the Logitech and Razer drivers.

Laser is superior to optical but usually a tad more expensive. G5/G7 is still your best bet. The battery pack in the G7 weighs no more than the weights that come with the G5 just for reference seeing as I have both sitting here... And that lag you speak of? Must of been you because I've got none of that. Then again my receiver is only a few inches from the mouse and I have all the settings for reporting rate set to max aka battery life suffers. Can only get about 8 hours of straight gaming. Not that I do that anymore...

But anyways, i haven't tested either Logitechs or Razers mouse so i can't tell how those drivers perform. Or compare either one to A4Tech..

But i still think that this is a good mouse, and it doesn't cost that much either.

I withdraw my praise on the G5!!

I enjoy logitech products, but they can be annoying at times, I upgrading from my MX510 when the right mouse button decided to stop working, i thought that maybe it was just me being a little too heavy handed with it so went ahead and bought a G5, today the right mouse button decided to go funny, thats two Logitech products form two different dealers with the same problem. I each of the mice for about a year before they went bust. :-|

So off I go to spent another £50 on another logitech mouse, £150 for 3 mice is in years, I guess im a fool.

It is possible to RMA a product. Simple fix.

I've had that happen to a few Logitech mice. Almost all of the problems occur after 2-3 years of use. When my old MX10 started to go bad after two years of use, I sent it back to Logitech. Fortunately almost every mouse they have has a 5 year warranty (something unheard of for most companies), so they sent me a new MX518 back. I was happy.

Final message: Logitech's customer support is amazing, and always RMA istead of buying new again if possible.

i just recently got my G9 Mouse and this thing is by far the best mouse i have ever used.. its REALLY smooth! instead of having those little stick on feet it has like plastic pads so as u move the mouse it really glides provided u have a decent mouse pad.

The grips it comes with i find both are comfy and easy in the hand.. the roller wheel is awesome! u can set it to free spin which is good for web and watever else.. and set it to click-roll for games.

u can change the leds which is cool :p i got mine on purple >.<

the cord is really solid.. it has like a nylon rope weave over the actual cable to it is durable.

Like i said best mouse i have ever used..

Got in contact with Logitech Support, and even though the mouse had been opened up the US rep offered a replacement, then they realised I was from the UK even though it had been stated form the beginning, the EU rep wasn't as generous and wouldn't give me a replacement, but he did give me a 35% discount offer on my next purchase . So I bought a new G9 for £48.

Ahh it was my fault for opening it up, pitty the EU department had different views than the US/Canada department though. I get a discount on a G9, im happy :).
