    Re: 9800GX2 Stats..

9800x2 is more expensive than two 8800gtx(g92) in sli and not as fast from what i have read at OC.

if you already own a 8800gtx just get another.

900 uk for two 9800x2 just to get 30fps on Vhigh in crysis not worth it imho.(plus you need to overclock the quad core to 4ghz+)

same goes for the new 9800gtx if you have a 8800gtx just rub off the 8 and draw on a 9 and you away.

the ati 3870x2 is much cheaper and gives decent performance, the 150 you save could get you tri crossfire x.

    just my thoughts right there.

all 9 series are there just to milk money out of ppl that think the shiny 9 means faster and better.

                  thats what you think?

                  please rethink m8...

if a 2 year old ultra still holds it price(well a good price) then a few months wont make a difference.

                  what happens if a single g200 out performs a 9800x2 ?
obviously its resale value will drop!

just think of the 9800x2 as a idea to get rid of all the g92 stock in the nvidia factory..its not going to have a very long lifespan if the g200 comes out this year.

you speak sense m8,you're card will hold its own until then,

no point in getting a 9800x2 anyway unless you plan on playing games at 2000+res

im sure a 8800gtx can handle most games up to 1900res (crysis not included..thats for all cards by the way)

give it a month after g200 release and prices will come down, and maybe even more if ati 4 series with gdr5 ram is faster.

thats why i still got my 2900xt(flashed from a pro)

still plays games good all high...ill hold on to it untill the real nextgen cards come out.

                        Re: 9800GX2 Stats..

nah not at all, i had some probs with the resolutions, when i settled at one res, the task bar would be half sunken through the window, uknow things not in place so i said to hell with it, i tried everything HDMI, DVI, and VGA, each one was better than the other, i am truly fed up so i put the 26" for my PS3, and am gonna get 22" Samsung in Summer, found a good price for it in a local shop near my house its a tad more expensive than my old 19"Wide.

                        Hope that was explanatory enuf.

the only reason it's held its price is because up until recently it was the best nvidia had to offer..look at how much the 8800 series have dropped in price just over the short time that the 9800 series have come out.. i saw a GTX for $250 US the other week.. can u imagine how cheap their going to be after the next gen cards are released..

                          anyway.. back on topic..

has anyone found any good benches for the 9800GX2 yet?.
