    .RAR file :(

    Hey,

    i know this is a bit of a noob question but how do i extract .RAR files? i know theres a program called WinRAR but u have to pay for it is there any other way?

    You can download the trial for WinRAR, it works the same. From what happened to me, all it does after a certain period of time is give you a popup to remind you to purchase the product. But, pressing cancel on it lets you continue to use it.

    There might be some functions that can't be used due to it but at least you can still open and extract files.

            7zip is completely free and can unpack .rars.

                Yep Winrar would have to be the best.
                7zip is ok and does somethings that winrar can't do so I would recommend using them both .

                  yep, and so far to me 7zip seems faster. I use both 7zip and winrar.
