    nvidia 7600 gs overheating?

    hi guys,
yesterday i changed my old pcs graca with nvidia 7600 gs 256 mb AGPx8x.
the problem is: cards heat is 70-80C(yes Celcius) when its idle..
its temperature when playing games is over 100+..game doesnt crash or card doesnt whine but i dont feel cool playing game when i know theres something that is as hot as hell in that case..
it use dunno call what thing
after i open a game to play my temperature increase to 100-115C
do u realise how hot is it
i can use it to boil water also..

    what to do?

Firstly, is the card new? If so then it maybe faulty, you may have to take it back for another one.

Do you have adequate cooling in your case? If not get some fans, ideally you need a fan at the front blowing air in, and one at the rear exhausting air, then if you can, get a fan on the side of the case also blowing air in.

Also, tidy up the wiring as this can lead to unstable air flow. Also, get a can of compressed air and clean our the fans on the chipsets and on the case fans (if any)

Please also post your full system specs and the case you have.

It should be 70c-80c when under 100% load. Idle should be a lot less.
