Good Media Player?

I use Media Player Classic that come's along with the K-Lite Codec Pack as Scinto linked to above. It's cut down and just has all the necessary stuff you need in a minimalist interface.

I use winamp, but there is also foobar that is a low resource consuming program

I'm using WMP 11, but apparently scrolling down the library gets really slow when you've got quite a lot of music on your PC (I've got about 5000 songs). I wonder what a faster alternative would be, apart from Winamp which I don't really like (too small design/fonts XD).

A lot of people will hit me with sticks for saying this, but in my opinion Windows Media Player is the best for straight forward media playback. It has an excellent library system and is compatible with nearly all media devices such as MP3 players and can sychronise with them.

Well, I was going to say Winamp was the best, because I was so amazed at how much better than iTunes it was. After reading this I d/l wmp11 and it seems to be better music playback.

But goddamn this is ticking me off, how do I show the artist in the mini player?

This is why winamp is made of win...

As you can see winamp uses less than 1% of the processor, unlike any other media players which can use up to 10%. And no I didn't just take a screeny when the processor used just said 0%. It almost always is at 0%.

I also use WMP11, but what annoys me is the stupid interface for the title bar right click and the now playing/library/rip tabs. It's a bit confusing, and changing tabs is a bit unresponsive.

I use BS Player(6700-6850k mem usage) for videos and Real Player for MP3's.. Full versions costs $$ though...

I use Itunes and Real Player. The way VLC doesnt pause instantly annoys me :/

You hit space or w/e to pause and it always has a 1/2 to a second delay. Infact another problem with it i always get is random crashes. For example I just opened it up and was looking for a video in the directory to test my pause theory, and it tells me "it has encountered a problem and needs to close":hmm:
