      For most people its either too expensive or just overkill.

          password cracking, theres always a need for more processor power!

          I mean the US military have puropose built code cracker computers that have 80 processor built in and it still takes them about 900 years to crack 128 bit encryption

            I'm considering upgrading to the Penryn Q9450 2.66ghz 12mb L2. Supposedly the price should be about $320 usd when it comes out.
