How much is 5 gigs?

40gb for a month is pretty low. I usually do 50gb a month myself, and that doesn't take into account parents and brother. So, i suspect about 80gb-90gb a month on Tiscali.

The only bad points is the P2P throttling during daytime (So i have to bittorrent over night), and the fact that i am quite a distance from the hub, so i get relatively bad pings at peak times.

Here they don't have dl limits, but they do tend to trick people with the bit to byte conversions. Although usually it's still a rather nice connection speed like 6 megabit. But I'm stuck here with a cheap dad that will only pay for a $35 1.5 megabit line which gets me 150 kbps max dl speeds.

$35 I presume is USD? That's really nice ... I pay double of what you have to pay for the same thing. :cry:

for $59 Aus im going to get ADSL+2 with 150gb monthly downloads.. 40gb peak hour and 110 gb offpeak.. :) that should be enough i hope..

I stick with Internode (Been with them for 47 months and going). I'm paying $74.95 for ADSL2+ with 30GB downloads. I don't want to switch to other providers because I've heard of all the crappy support/reliability and Internode is good at both those aspects.

A plus is I get to use their gaming servers and file network for download free. Those 1GB+ demos etc. don't bother me anymore!

by download limit i dont mean the download speed.. rather the amount of data u can download.. in Australia u get plans.. for eg.. 50gb download peak hour and 110gb download off peak.. and once u have gone over the 50gb peak hour they cut ur net speed down to about 56kbps...:cry: cruel huh

if u have vista.. u can download gadgets that show u what percentage u have used.. its very useful for mapping out ur monthly usage :)

P.S. not all ISP's are compatible..

We went over. And no, I don't have Vista. My parents are pretty much agreed with me now that we should switch ISP.
