    More Problems! Failing to boot!

Recently I have been having problems with booting my computer.

If my system has been shut down for a few hours then I seem to be getting a few problems with it booting up.

At times it appears that it isn't even running post, I don't get the initial beep and the monitor fails to pick up the signal.

I've tried resetting the BIOS, thats had no effect.

If I turn the system off then back on then after a few attempts the system does POST and load up. Sometimes it loads the operating system, sometimes it gives me a checksum error and sometimes it tells be that the post was interrupted or something.

A few months back the PSU went bust, is it possible that when the PSU went a few months back it could have damaged the motherboard? And don't go using this as the easy answer please .

Do you have any other ideas on what this could be and do you have any ideas on how I could fix this problem?

ATM, im feeling lazy so instead of looking for an answer I decided to come here .

It does sound like the motherboard.

Could you please flash to the latest BIOS and tell us what happens.

Test your ram.... I've seen this on a few different brands and types in the past.

Try one stick at a time if you have more than one...also may want to run memtest to ensure there are no errors on any of the sticks.

Memtest86+ is an advanced, free, open-source, stand-alone memory tester for 32- and 64-bit computers (UEFI & BIOS supported)

Ram is usually the biggest issue. You'll fry a sector and the whole comp will go kaput. Test out your ram and report back.
