this is basically same thing but it has fan control and its 90mm and not 92...

i sort of wanted to stick with a asus cooler, because i already for the asus case and board so...

I think that they said that the thermalright was the best because you could get better results at lower noise levels, although you need to pick a decent fan which has high flow/noise ratio and can produce pressure. Bit-tech used a Noctua fan.

the Noctua is nice..and that graph helps...from reading the reviews of the tuniq i really don't know, i am sure i will be happy either way probably

Yeah i would either go for the tuniq or the thermal right with a noctua fan.

Although if you want a well performing cheap HSF, go for the arctic cooling freezer pro.

if u compare a Artic Cooler Freezer Pro with a CNPS9700 LED, which is better? (sry for thread jacking) i just wanted to know since i am in the market for a new cooler especially with an LED.

Freezer pro doesn't have an LED, but according to bit-tech's result it is better than the 9700 and it's dirt cheap too.

here is the chart to which i am referring too.
I have the freezer pro and it is quiet (I think my p182 helps a bit), it works well and it was very cheap compared to other similar performance HSFs.

so after some research alex is right,
zalman as i figured is way better,
the artic is not that great but as u say its a cheep solution..

myself i will probably go with the tuniq i read that the fan it comes with is great..if that's not the case i will get the Noctua fan for it..
I'm finding this also is great case fan in general, its a turbine fan, and for the $$ you get what you pay for ...

it comes in black or silver with led's, ill probably disable the led's just because most of them i find are ugly lol...
myself in the beginning i had planned to go with zalman but i know that is loud like a jet engine but it does cool your system, Ive seen it first hand..only reason i asked about these is because i don't know them and i wanted a bigger heat sink with less fan ...

Guys, sry i already do have a AF pro7, sry my question is this would it be a good upgrade, as i rly do want some LEDS (dont recommend cathodes) and Zalman are awesomesauce on my pasta!

i think so..
i mean the reviews really speak for it self..the zalman is probably the best but i don't want that much noise...I've heard it ..
it is really really loud..i got 7 case fans plus fan for the psu and gfx card and one on the north bridge...all that meaning this..
my stuff is loud already..i don't need to add more noise...plus I'm pretty sure this will keep it cool enough...
only down fall i see is that it is not pure copper that's it ..we all know copper is the best with heat..

Well it depends if you think the performance increase is worth the money.
Or you could go for a tuniq or thermalright.
