    motherboards for quad core

    hey guys

I've found quite a few boards and i keep running into this problem with ddr2 800 and ddr2 1066

1066 is better because of the speed I'm assuming but how much of a difference really are we looking at here from ddr2 800 and ddr21066?

I've found these two boards, and as u can see this board has heat sinks etc etc good for gaming but its ddr2 800

We’re sorry, but this page does not existing. Please visit our home page for more information.

then i found this board that is ddr2 1066 and well it looks like its not really going to be great for gaming because the heat sinks look weak and in general the board is ugly lol...

im just looking for some educated input please thankyou?

to sum up this topic this is what i ended up with so that people know..

but i weighed the pros and cons..do you think its worth the 50$ more compared to the 1066 board i showed ?

That board i showed you is the best currently on the market. It is an excellent overclocker and boasts the highest stock performance scores (in benchmarks). Asus is known for their great BIOS support and quality.
you can't go wrong with it.

thankyou then i will go with that board..
alex can you try to help me once i get the parts to overclock this guy?
          is it complicated?
i over clocked my amd 3000+ with the guru utility..

im reading that the q66 can go over 3ghz...if that is true that would be great..
am upgradeing from amd 3000+ so this is a huge jump lol

Core 2 over clocking is incredibly easy, even I managed to get my E6750 to 3GHz and then it was only my RAM that let me down.
I'm sure alex will help you, but it is not hard, you just have to be careful really.
