No, it appears to be just a chipset cooler...kinda cool though. But Im wondering how it will effect airflow and heat dissapation with an active running cpu cooler???Comment

Looks interesting but i don't see the point... Throwing a nice powered fan that always runs on there isn't going to make or break your power usage...

The concept is sound, they just need to improve the implementation. On the CPC website, someone pointed out that if you power a stevenson engine, it will pull heat off the chipset, CPU or whatever and allow sub-zero temperatures to be obtained.Comment

Yes, this is possible. But to attain such temperatures it will have to be an incredibly efficient fan. The build quality would have to be immaculate, any slight defects would affect the friction too greatly.
But still, it is a relatively new concept for computer cooling. Looks pretty promising and we should see some more efficient ones coming in the next few years if other companies catch on to this.Comment
