hi i am going to buy a new computer and i was wondering if it is any good for its price.

for $550

AMD Athlon X2 5000+ 2.6ghz
3gb DDR2 memory
7600GT 256MB
400gb hard drive
windows vista home premium

also could it run BF2 on all high and what about F:FOW

Go ahead, but get ready to upgrade your processor and graphics card. It should run Bf2 on all high, but no AA, and on a lower resolution.

Um, i suppose the cpu is okay... but obviously a Core 2 Duo would be a lot better for probably the same price.

3gb is overkill for that price, 2gb would do.

A 7600gt is by today's standards very underpowered. It would play FFOW on low, maybe a few medium, but i wouldn't count on it.

yeah i know the 3gb is alot but its only 20$ more than a 2gb w/ same specs. what could be a better video card for around the same price as a 7600gt which is 80-120

Is this a prebuilt system or build it yourself. If it's prebuilt i want an amazing excuse as to why your not saving your money and building it yourself. Ok it doesn't have to be an AMAZING excuse it's just that I originally bought a prebuilt for a price that i could have built my own hardware with much higher performance.

No, FFOW taxes even a 8800gts 320mb. BF2 is almost 3 years old, so a 8600gt will handle it on high, but nothing newer.
