    Odd Problem when loading pages

I have an odd problem whereby when i load webpages, it causes my music or movie to slow down and stutter. It only seems to occur on pages with pictures or other data heavy elements.

My music, movies and other data runs off my RAID1 setup (2x400gb), and, apart from loading web pages, runs as smooth as ever.

    Any ideas?

For the specs, I don't think it's normal. I can have TS, iTunes, FF (with five tabs), RDP's, Xfire, MSN, Trillian, Putty and more open and not get lag with music.

What plugin's do you have for FireFox?

        Adblock Plus
        Chatzilla
        Fasterfox
        Minimize to Tray
        FireFTP
        ReloadEvery
        Video Downloader Plus

        I don't think it's normal either...

Disable each one at a time, and try it.

It's just because web pages are loaded into RAM, as are the music tracks being played, and the increased traffic as the web page is loaded slows down the music playback.

That's my theory at least. :)

I doubt the webpage is filling 3gb of RAM or using up 100% of it's bandwidth :p

You never know. And I think it's more that music can be a bit of a bandwidth hog. :p
