EA download manager does not run, or install.

Hi.

I am having problems with EA download manager.


I tried opening it to install Hellgate: London after buying it at the EA store, but it would not open. It would start updating EA download manager(even though I'm already fully updated) then it would act like it's going to install it, and it would get as far as "preparing for install shield wizard" or something, then it would just close.

So what I did was delete everything related to EA Downloader, and redownloaded the installer. After trying to install, it did the EXACT same thing, minus the updating part. It just pretends like it's going to install and only gets up to the preparing the install shield wizard part then closes.

I'm on Windows Vista 32 bit home premium edition, if that makes any difference.

P.S. I tried right clicking on the icon and doing the compatability mode to windows XP sp2, that did not work.

Anyone got any advice? suggestions? Solutions?

Run in administrator mode?

Dont really like EA download manager..only ever used it to get Euro forces and armored fury for BF2 and they didnt work either..kept on saying i needed to buy the things even though i had from the EA download manager..so eventually i got my dad to get me then on disc...

Yeah, I've tried running as an administrator. No workie.
