    removing keys from keyboard

    the space bar on my keyboard feels harder to push down recently, and I'm thinking it just needs to be cleaned. I want to take it out to clean the key itself, and the thing it's attached to. i've never done this before lol so i don't know if it's a good idea or not. is there a chance it could break when trying to pop it out? and are they meant to be taken out?

    thanks

          On our old computer me and my brothers used to swap the keys around and put them in alphbetical order, then we couldnt remember where they went so we ran away...

            What sort of keyboard do you have, because one's that don't have a ton of led's and stuff can be put in the dishwasher!

              If you want to clean the whole keyboard, use this guide: http://www.thetechzone.com/?m=show&id=431&page=1

              Its quite a good guide, and keyboards can get really dirty.

                You reckon that would work with any keyboard?

                    That's what happens when you eat a cheese toasty whilst watching a movie. I really hate to think what else is down there :|:

                      Cockroach family shelter.

                      In any case, I would advice using the spare keyboard to practise the technique before totally pissing down the $100 gaming 'board down the toilet.

                        The only spare keyboard i have is on of those £40 Microsoft Ergonomic keyboards. I've never used it, but i don't know if i want to take it apart. I'll try and find a nice beige one.

                          Some how I can imagine really vividly the following:

                          PING!

                          <2 seconds silence>

                          - in hushed feverish voice: oh ****, oh ****, oh ****, OH ****!

                          - MOM!!!! Where do we keep the super glue?
