use tv for games?

can i use my lcd tv for a computer monitor. or, let me rephrase that. can i use it without it lagging/making weird things on the screen

i have never done it but as long as it has the right connection's and you get your settings rights i dont see why not.

yeah, thats what i was worried about... and i only have a vga cord.
but the cool thing is that the tv has dvi, vga, hdmi AND the round plug... forgot what its cold.
oh well i'll try it over the weekend thanks!

i think the round plug you're thinking of is the super-video cable. I hooked my PC up to my 52" rear projection TV with a super video cable and the picture was bad so don't bother with that one

I hooked my laptop onto my 32" TV and it worked perfectly...i used av cable thingy..cant remember exactly but it worked fine for me..played bf2 on it for a bit..sooo much harder on a big screen tv...

meh too i got a 26" HD ready tv LCD it has vga dvi i guess and hdmi, i will try it too! but its gonna be in the summer.

you can use a tv for games should be alright if you use your normal resolution,

I tried hooking my computer up to my 46" lcd, and I used vga and it looked fine. Just had to set it to the right resolution and it worked.

I did it at my party, I was playing portal on my pc screen, and it waas being mirrored on my tv. It makes the game alot more immersive imo.
