NTFS not large enough?

Well, I am trying to move this video (zipped and archived) from another HD to my HD, but it says it (the HD) can't support more than 4GB file sizes.

But my HD is an NTFS system with 35.1GB of space left..

Is this some sort of virus? Or Registry issue?

Max file size is 64TB, minus 64kb :p

Are both HDD's the same format?

The HD with the file is FAT32. The HD I want the file to be in is NTFS.

Try halfing the rar, max file size for FAT32 is 4GB :\

I mean.. I don't want to lose data from my back-up ext. HD.. :S

Yeah, you will lose everything. So back it up, and format it to NTFS.

Or you could use Windows built in NTFS converter,

No need to format the drive. Can use the command like in that link or do it through Disk Management,

Right click My Computer-Manage-select Disk Management from the tree-right click on the drive and select Convert.

Yeah, I found the in-built convertor, but it said my drive was .. "dirty", so I had to go through a in-built 7 hour clean up.

Tis' the morning and I am converting now. Taking ages to convert a 150GB drive...

This is EPIC phail, I go through all this.. and it still says the same thing.. even when I try to unrar it in the same drive..

Try using winzip to split your archive into smaller files

It is already in pieces (.000 file, then .001 file), but when I put it together, it says the only NTFS can support more than 4GB files.. but both my drives are NTFS now..
