    Cpu!

    Hey totalgamingnetwork!!!

    Well, i came here to request some help....^^

    I decided to buy a new cpu...but i have a few questions....

    1. Which one shall i buy??? e6600?? or e6550??

    2. Which one is more important? Cpu speed or FSB...

    What motherboard do you have? That most likely will be the deciding factor.

          Well my mobo right now is P5LD2 SE... somebody told me
          i could stick a quad core in there...

          ANd rihgt now im using a Genuine Intel(R) CPU 2160 @ 1.80GHz...
          2 proccessors...

          MY budget?? Um...around 150~220 us dollar...(actually i live in indonesia...^^)

          and... if i can... i do want to overclock^^ but i don't think ill have enough money
          for the cooling syyems....^^

            With googling it seems that your mobo supports only FSB 1066MHz processors so E6550 is out of the question with it's 1333MHz FSB.

            So that limits your options.

              Thx looqas... yeah i saw my mobo box and it said it only supports 1066,800,533...T.T

              Thx...I guess i have to buy the e6600 then...Thank u everybody...

              But i do have one question...^^

              How come the e6600 has higher cpu speed but the fsb is lower than the e6550???

                Check that there are no new BIOS's that support 1333mhz.

                  Ask Intel. It's just market placement.

                      You say it as if the e6600 is crap, its a very fast cpu and overclocks very well.

                        I got E6600 at 3.4ghz on only a 1.3125 Vcore.

                        Although, i did get the best stepping of it (thank God)
