    sound problems

I reformated a few days ago because I thought I was having hard drive problems, too bad it was only a corrupt stick of ram, and reformatting solved nothing.

Anyway, I reinstalled my sound card drivers to my X-Fi XtremeGamer, listened to music and everything seemed good. When I went into play bf2 I changed it to Game mode as usual, but it would make crackling sounds during game play, never did this before. I made sure the audio settings were set as Creative X-Fi.. and they were. So I just decided to install the beta driver to my card, and it made the entertainment sound so much better, so I thought it would be fixed, yet again the same problem.
Never happened before, anyone know what to do? This never happened in any of the other games I played either.

hmmmm that's weird my X-Fi plays BF2 on ultra sound with no problem. If worse comes to worse uninstall the drivers, run driver cleaner pro (in safe mode) and reinstall them again and see what happens.

Problem solved, I am in a digital connection right now and my speakers are actually analog, so that is what's causing the crackling sounds.
