Another gigabyte of ram?

I was thinking of getting another gig of ram, my friend said that there is not point for me to get it so I came here to ask if I could or I shouldn't.

p4's arent dual core, they use hyperthreading which is more like having 2 logical cores - still not as good as a real dual core.

money would be better spent on a mid-range gpu, i.e., hd3850 or whatever nVidia is offering to compare, if anything.

2gb is great for gaming, but you have to get over your bargaing basement gpu to see any diff.

Actually, i love it.

I have had no compatibility problems what so ever, no blue screens whilst using it (probably down to the new style of split drivers) and it looks like the dog's swingers.

Going back to XP was the same affect as going from XP to 95, it just looks and feels "retro".

But, one comment on Vista is that it can take a few hours to set up all the customisable options. I removed the side bar, turned off UAC and made a few other visual changes as i like a simplistic interface.

Although, mine is Vista Business, not home premium as many people will have.
