    New Antec 1200 Gamers Case

Antec showed off their new set of mid-range cases aimed at gamers. The main interest was the Antec 1200, the replacement for the dated Antec Nine Hundred. Whilst there are several improvements including fan filters, cable management and extra fans (Yup, apparently that's what it needed more of), they seem to have ruined the design of the 200mm fan.... shame...

    All information is from AnAndTech:

At the top of the pecking list, we have the new Twelve Hundred case that comes with a slew of new features. Cooling was a primary consideration in the design of this case, and it includes a top-mounted 200mm fan, two 120mm fans in the back, and up to four HDD cages each with a 120mm fan. The side panel has additional space for one more 120mm fan that will blow directly on the graphics card(s) if installed. There are a total of twelve 5.25" drive bays in which the user can potentially mount lots of hard disks and/or optical drives. The front bezel features small punched holes that allow for direct cooling of the drive bays. Behind the opening are filters that help to keep dust outside of the case. The filters are easy accessible for cleaning purposes. As an added bonus, Antec painted the inside of the case in black, giving the case a very cool "stealth" vibe.

I don't like the way the top fan bulges out of the roof. Looks strange...

Im sure it will keep all the components coller than you would expect, but its not very appealing.

The body of it doesn't look very large either, especially with the larger cards on the market.

Thinking of getting a new cae, but i dont think ill be looking at this one.

remove it, replace it with some PVC, then you can add a twin rad on the back,

i would stick with the 900, the 1200 has an additional fan on the back and makes it slightly easier for watercooling if your going that way.

I like the filters and cable management the most though. Thats the only thing I didn't like about my 900 when I bought it. Look at the mess inside my pc...

yours is the 2nd revision from the original 900, so it should come with a few holes in the backplate for cable management,

                          mines worse than that

If the top was nicer it would be very appealing to replace a 900 with, but i think i will be sticking with my 182
