BF2 & COH:OF troubles

hi,
got my new computer friday all working fine, install bf2 & coh:of (came with 3850:yay:)fine but sometimes when i am playing the computer will restart or crash to windows. also in bf2, when i right click to zoom the screen goes black but when i right click again to get out of zoom is fine. what could this problem be? temps or something else? the 3850 idles around 38c from ati overdrive in the catalyst control centre.
when i logon there is a error report and it says the system has recovered from a critical system error.

first guess would be that something running @ default with that pc is mucking up the bits and bytes.

whittle your processes down to the bare necessities, and then see if the fault still happens. that way you will know the fault is a result of a system-wide break, or if you are looking at a driver specific fault...

...fyi, i just fixed a crash issue by updating from ati 7.11 to ati 7.12...so soe things are still easily solved by updating crappy drivers. *(7.10 was great)

I had the similar problem when I got my first 8800GTS, and it was due to heat. I took the side panel of my case off and it never crashed after that, so see if yours isn't over heating.

ok ill play coh now and alt+tab out to ati ccc and check temps

ok playing coh:of. on ati ccc showing 99% gpu activity and 67c is that bad? and setting were on ultra high with 2aa at 1440x900

any more help please?
