Uh...how do you take a pic?

No don't call me a noob lol.

I bought a Phillips USB webcam and want to take a pic. The thing is the proggy that came with the webcam doesn't recognize it. So I can't do anything.

So is there a program that lets you take a picture/record a clip with your webcam, aside from the stupid Phillips stock program?

hmm. If there is a button on the cam itself press it. It usually takes a picture. At least you can see if anything happens.

In windows there is in Control Panel cameras settings. You can go there and see if the camera is present at all.
