overclocking

I have a laptop (HP pavillion dv6547tx) and ive been trying to overclock my CPU from 2Ghz to 2.2Ghz is it possible....I cant find anything on the web that could help and my bias doenst allow me 2 change anything :cry:

I'm not sure, because I'm not familiar with the motherboard, or the bios, but you could try nTune. May not work at all on your laptop, but it may be worth checking out. Its downloadable from the nVidia website.

It's an HP, so no overclocking shall take place

If the BIOS wont let you do anything..as stated above you cant do any overcoking on it... ;D

You won't notice a difference between 2.0ghz & 2.2ghz anyway, so it would be a waste of time.

People say you need a 15%-20% overclock to notice any real difference (apart from in benchmarks).

Plus, it's a laptop. The heatsink will be shoddy and so probably couldn't handle the extra heat
