Gears of war trouble

I just installed gears of was on my new cyberpowerpc. It starts up, and 20-30 seconds later, it closes out and says " gears of war has stopped working" and it closes down. How can i fix this?

should have gotten a message on how to fix it, they should provide a fix like install a particular driver or something. happened with my AMD driver.

sounds like an outdated driver problem or a heat problem. need more info to be more helpful.

Programs you have running in the background...?

AIm and windows live messanger are in the backround

8800gt video card

what I meant was, when I went to start GOW for the first time, it gave me a message to install an updated AMD driver in order for the game to run. Are you absolutely sure you are given no message? if worst comes to worst, try reinstalling it.

suggest you strip your system to the bare essentials:

start-->run-->msconfig

under the start-up menu, turn off pretty much everything.

under the services menu, disable anything that isn't from microsoft.

reboot and retry to test whether it is a software conflict.

...although it still sounds like a driver fault to me.
