    Your opinion of this card

    My current spec: 3500+ 939 AMD, 2gigs PC 3200, 6600GT PCI-E

What do you guys/gals think of the card I posted above? is it worth the money (I don't want to spend over 200 tbh), can I play the game with everything on MAX?

    Your thoughts,

    Thanks

Is this the new GTS or the old one? The new G92 GTS is as good as the GTX as long as you play at super high rezes.

I believe it is the old one. The new one would be out of my price range. As for the monitor I use, I'm still using my old DELL 17in CRT lol.

that's the old GTS... that card is not worth the money...

        i'd recomend a 8800GT 512MB or a 8800GTS 512mb (the newer cards have 512mb and is better then a 8800GTX)

8800GS? Around $200 for the 768mb version if its even out yet, or if you can wait.

Since you have a 6600 GT atm you'll be happy with pretty much any card you buy...

If you want the best for your money, 8800 GS/GT/GTS (g92 version)

Have the GTS myself and couldn't be more happy :)

Not entirely true, at higher resolutions the GTX and Ultra are still king

Thanks for the feed back all. Great suggestions, but, most of these cards are out of my price range .

I can't believe the 8800gt is out of your price range if your looking at an old GTS?? :hmm:

Yes, it's the old sort. The old ones had 320MB or 650MB of VRAM. the new ones had 512MB. The other way to tell is that the fan on the newer ones slopes slightly towards the backplate. :)

What game do you want to play on max settings?

I had that card couple days ago and I was able to run BF2 maxed out, crysis on medium, BF2142 maxed out (had to switch to medium though when I played Titan mode).

I ran those games with those settings with my setup (in my sig). Just to let you know though, have sufficient cooling for that card, because BF2 crashed for me after like 5 minutes of playing (had to take off my side panel to make it run).
