    Problem with 3dMark05 and vista..i think..

    Ok so on my new computer ive got Vista ultimate 32 bit and since i had the exe of 3dmark06 on my old computer i put it in a shared file and i cut it onto my desktop..i installed it..then tried running..but it says its loading but nothing happens..forr aaaaaages..so i click on it and it says its not responding..also i have tried running it as administrator but nothing changes...help please?

    Oh bugger just read the title..im on about 06 sorry...lol not used to new keyboard

      that happens when you have the ATi 2900/3800 series cards,

      To get 3dMark06 working with the 2900/3800 cards you will have to use the "nosysteminfo" command line argument as shown below:

        Nope..it says the path name is not valid..thanks for the advice though..any other thoughts?

          Download legacy versions of 3DMark, PCMark, and other Futuremark benchmarks for free.


          ^ if that dont work then;

          Rename the file Direcpll.dll thats in windows/system32/futuremark/MSC

              Nope tried without speechmarks and still says its not valid..so ill try Scintos method just as i finish downloading some stuff..will let you know if it works..thanks guys

                The installer exe or the actual 3Dmark exe? Because it is not going to work if you just moved the exe and created a new shortcut.

                I can see from you screenshot that the "Start in" dir is \Benchmarks\3DMark06,
                while it apparently has a target of \program files\futuremark\3dMark06

                How did that happen? They cant both be right.
