Buy a wristband with a crocodile clip on the end, clip it to your case and your good.

But, i usually just keep hold of the end of my case, or just not work on a carpet floor.

Should be fine, just make sure you are touching, or have touched a grounded metal item.

            From a slide in college...

'The best method of preventing ESD is to use an ESD wrist strap and/or use a grounding mat or table. However, because most users do not have access to such items, we have included the below steps to help reduce the chances of ESD as much as possible.

Zero Potential - Most importantly, make sure you and the computer are at Zero Potential by continuously touching an un-painted metal surface of the chassis or the computer power supply case.
Standing - It is also very important that you are standing at all times when working on the computer.
Cords - Make sure everything is removed from the back of the computer (power cord, mouse, keyboard, etc).
Clothes - Make sure not to wear any clothing that conducts a lot of Electrical Charge, such as a wool sweater.
Weather - Electrical storms can increase the ESD risk; unless absolutely necessary, try not to work on a computer during an electrical storm.
Accessories - To help reduce ESD and help prevent other problem, it is also a good idea to remove all jewelry.
            All been discussed really.

if you are worried you may be carrying a static charge its best to touch a radiator or metal front fridge that way you would cause damage,

At work fixing computers we wear the wrist straps.

I never bothered to buy one myself for home use so I just touch the case whenever possible to prevent a great enough difference in charge from building up on me while I'm working.

That's about how I do it. Radiator.

If you are paranoid enough you can strip butt-naked, touch the radiator to get rid off static electricity and then get to work.

But just get rid off woolen materials like pull-overs and you are pretty much ok. I've never have broken anything and I've this a lot so you are not going to break your PSU. It's supposed to be handling electricity and PSU is well protected from spikes. The mem & CPU is a different thing altogether. There you have to more careful.

Whoops.. when installing my graphics card yesterday (in the dining room, after lunch- can't be antisocial) I sat on the carpeted floor. :S I won;t do that again (my PC seems to be OK though. )
