    Question about Power Supply

Ok, so I got my 8800gt today, and I tried it and my computer wouldn't boot up. I thought it was my power supply, but it turns out it isn't, but I have a question after looking at my power supply.

People say you need 22 amps on the 12 volt rail for an 8800gt. Is that for a single rail or all of them combined? According to my power supply, it has 4 12 volt rails at 18 amps each.

silly question, you have plugged in the six pin pci-e power, right?
and you switched them around just to be sure one of the cables isn't faulty?

edit, and 4x 18A should be overkill (even bearing in mind you don't actually get 4x18A)

the plug in the far right in this example

edit again, 'cuz it souns EXACTLY like you don't have your video card plugged in/don't have a plug in for it...

apologies if all this stuff is obvious, but i have to set a baseline somewhere, lol.
