Battlefield 2 with Geforce 6800?

How well would my old Geforce 6800 graphic card work if I got a new computer (2 GB RAM, Intel E6750 ECS G31T-M) and put it into it? I can't afford to buy a new graphic card yet.

Would it be able to run BF2 all high, 1280x1240? I don't need AA or Filtering stuff.

The 6800 will easily play it- it's the card that was top of the range when the game was released. :)

But, not at 1280x1024 all high. A 7600gt can only just about manage that, but not completely smooth. You'll be looking at medium settings at that resolution.

correct my 7600 GS struggles. i keep the resolution lower :)

I have 2 gigs and a 6800 and i play bf2 and 2142 on high (not highest) with no lag,

Yeh, lots of people had this card when it was released 7800gtx was king of the hill back then but the 6800 wasnt too shabby


people who had 6800's back when it was released got meduim settings but youll probably but you might get mostly high settings as you have a much more powerful processor than people had in 2005
