    New Monitor

Hi there, i have decided to treat myself and compliment my 19" CRT monitor with a new TFT. I'm looking towards the 22" area and definitely want to stay under £200. I have been drawn towards the 21.6" Hanns.G HG216DP.

My question to you guys is are there any other monitors i should be considering at this price range? Is the Hanns.G a good choice? I've seen Alex's one and it looked pretty good to me.

    Cheers,

Faster than the one you linked!

      Have a look on here:

The Samsung 226BW is meant to be good, if you win the panel lottery. :)

HannsG is the darkhorse of PC monitors. I got a 19" HannsG LCD and its really very good. Top quality picture and a faster response time than many of the other 19'ers at the time of purchase

Custom PC said the same thing, the Hanns.G models are the dark horse of the monitor market. Whilst they don't offer anything exceptional, they just offer rock solid performance.

And, to Xavier, in order to notice the difference between 5ms and 2ms, you would have to have killer eyes :p It's just a selling point companies use. Although, you would notice the difference between a 5ms and 16ms screen.

Thanks for the input guys, i decided to go ahead and get the HannsG. The fact i haven't had a flood of posts telling me to go for something else shows me it's probably one of the best choices. And also, the ones you recommended are both at least £50 more expensive, again telling me the HannsG must be performing well above it's price.

            Cheers,

I like the HP line of monitors, I have the w2007 which is a 20.1 inch. I'm not sure how much it is in euros, but in U.S. dollars, it was 250.

No, we use Pounds Sterling, as is evidenced by the fact that our economy is strong, unlike the rest of Europe (And the USA. :p )
