Ram upgrade on laptops

Hi, I decided to get another gig of ram for my laptop but I don't know how to put the thing in, have never done any upgrades on my laptop and they aren't as easy as the PCs, - also, I read online that the second slot is pretty hard to get to... does anyone know how to do it so I wouldn't damange my laptop? Any tips? any good sites that show u how to?

Upgrading the memory on a laptop is as easy as a desktop. I've done it on a few laptops i've had. the manual Vreki posted will show you how. Now what I would suggest is to download and run CPUZ and find out what memory is in there, then check what voltage it is running at. Then when you buy your new memory, choose one with voltage specs the same as what you have now (especially if your planning on keeping some of your old memory in there).

according to that manual, yours is:

Memory
•256/512 MB of DDR333 SDRAM standard, upgradeable to 2048 MB 
with dual soDIMM modules

I shall try when it arrives, hope I don't mess it up. I was just worried cuz on one website some guy said that it's very hard to get to slot no. 2 and a mate of mine, tried to add more ram to his mates laptop and somehow managed to damage the whole thing :S They switched it on, and after another reboot it was dead, wouldn't switch on :s so I was just worried incase I **** it up, too.
