Which is better GTX or new GTS

Both will probably be outdated by the new 9 series of cards so it's the GTS if you plan on upgrading again soon (cause it's much cheaper) or the GTX if you plan to keep the card for a looong time ahead and can't possibly imagine waiting for the new cards coming soon

hehe well after much thought the GTX is pulling me to its side thnx for all ur replies guyz i appreciate it i know of the 9XXXX, which i will buy at around the later months of 08 which is like say summer or sept, oct 08 the GTX should hold till then!

oh forgot to mention i am looking for power a card with power i dontmind how many power it consumes ill just get a bigger psu

(G92) GTS 512mb; Less power, less heat, Cheaper, matches/betters the GTX in most of the games(except lost planet but meh), and you wont need 2x6pin connectors for the card like the GTX does. A single 6pin is enough for the GTS which is found on pretty much all PSU's,

I have to agree with Scinto. The new GTS would be the best option. It's performances matches and surpasses the GTX (at some points it's just short of the Ultra), it uses a lot less power, and thus less heat.

that 256 bit bus is not the best for high resolutions

LOLZ take it easy Scinto i am just asking a question heheh well looks like i will just wait until 08 and see mebeh i will pas on the 88s and get a 9 or may be get the best 88 out there excluding the ultra dont know why its too pricey but thats not it though its something else damn lot of things on my mind a lot of uni assessments hehe oh well i will choose the waiting period and blow my cash on a card i think is right me oh btw i am playing on a 26" widescreen i bought it cuz i have a PS3 and awnt to play on a HD ready monitor otherwise if i dident have a ps3 i would prob. go 4 a 20 or 22".

He has a large monitor so the extra memory and bandwidth will help a ton at the higher resolutions.

sry scinto, i did ask a '?' but i decided to get a GTX because i don't want to get the new G92's i know it sounds foolish but every1 has a right to their own opinion even thought its not stronger its not like the GTS is tons better just by a few % like the GT i am thinking right now of just simply getting a gtx stock from nvidia and wait till late 08 to get a 9XXX which hopefully has a good price tag by then if not what the hell i am still buying all gotta do is save lol. The GTS' weak point is high-res gameplay. If I'm buying a high end card, it isn't going to be on a friggin PDA screen, that's for sure.

GTX - unless you game at below 1600x1200.
